July 2023 Catch Report
We had an awesome time guiding our clients in July with many magnificent catches throughout. There were some disappointments but it was all smiles as usual. Our team of guides are passionate anglers who enjoys putting out clients on fish.
Bungsamran
First of we have Kevin bringing along his friend for some catfish action at Bungsamran. They had a great day catching Mekong Catfish and Siamese Carp until they gave up at roughly 3 pm.
Bungsamran
Arguably our most popular location, we also hosted Gavin at Bungsamran for his first fishing experience in Thailand. Needless to say, he left with the exact same smile.
Kang Krachan Reservoir
After being away for so long, I had the chance to get out to the reservoir for some lure fishing and was not disappointed with five fish landed in a span of three hours. The Giant Snakeheads were biting in the morning and I broke off one that did not give me an inch. The rest were Hampala Barbs which were very eager to bite at every fishing spot.
Thai Nana
We also hosted Athipong from India during the month. While he was not able to fulfill his wish of catching an Arapaima, the Tiger Shovelnose Catfish is perhaps a much rarer fish to catch. In his two days of fishing, we were able to hook on to at least five Arapaimas but we were able to land none.
Bungsamran
Later in the month we were at Bungsamran again with Alvin having his fill with lots of Mekong Catfish and Siamese Carp.
Pilot 111
Jason visiting from the US opted to go lure fishing for Snakeheads at PIlot 111 and while the day did not start off very well with the snakeheads not willing to coopoerate, he eventually landed a couple snakeheads and this wonderful Chaopraya Catfish.
