Thailand is one of the most extraordinary freshwater fishing destinations on earth — and the species list is the reason why. Nowhere else in the world can you walk up to a lake and realistically target an Arapaima the size of a man, a Giant Mekong Catfish that could fill a bathtub, a hard-charging Amazon Redtail Catfish, and a surface-smashing Giant Snakehead all in the same day. Bangkok's fishing parks and wild reservoirs hold an incredible mix of native Thai giants and exotic imported species that draw serious anglers from every corner of the globe. Whether you have one day or one week, a target species in mind or just an appetite for something extraordinary — Thailand will deliver. Here's what's waiting for you.
Some days on the water just come together perfectly — the fish are feeding, the weather cooperates, and everything clicks. This is one of those days. We headed out to Pilot 111, Bangkok's premier lure fishing complex, targeting Barramundi and Giant Snakehead in a single action-packed session. " Magical Day" - July 3 2013
It was a great day out fishing with client fo the day, Cris. The fish were cooperating all day long and we landed 40+ fish up until 4 p.m. It was our lucky day considering that the owner of the pond had just released massive amount of live bait for his fish to eat resulting in crazy barramundis. Fish were real aggressive throughout the day and Cris managed to land all five species that were featured at the pond. Days like these are infrequent and it was certainly a pleasure to be a part of.
