November 2015 Catch Report

November 2015 kick started with a stretch of days at various locations. Fishing was great as usual and without further ado, let's see what impressive fish we have caught for the month.

We start off with a father/daughter trip with Gary and Tallase from Canada fishing with us for three days. The choice of venue was Bungsamran, Jurassic and Palm Tree. The mission was to catch a fish that outweighs Tallase. While we did finally landed a fish that was heavier than her, it was Gary's turn at the rod when that Mekong Catfish took the bait. Other species that was landed includes Giant Siamese Carp, Asian and Amazon Redtail Catfish and Giant Mekong Catfish.

Bungsamran was producing well just as expected with the duo landing about 8-10 fish each. Jurassic also proved to be quite an active place with a 17 fish haul in one day. While Palm Tree produced the biggest fish of the trip, the fishing was a little slow for my liking but it is almost a can't miss for visitors.

Next up, we have Riki, owner and operator of KL Fly Fishing Shop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. If you need gear in Malaysia, he is the man. Riki spent a day with my associate and good friend, Cloud at Pilot 111 where he landed Giant Snakehead and Chaopraya Catfish. The next day was at Amazon BKK where he landed numerous Arapaimas .

Chris from France was next on the calendar and wanted to target snakehead in the reservoir. Though we did not land one, Chris did manage to land a good size Jungle Perch. The next day we decided to take it easy and just have a blast catching Barramundi at Boonmar farms.

We also hosted Arjen from the Netherlands visiting Bungsamran and Boonmar farms where they enjoyed catching lots of fish for two days.

Randy from Australia also got in the action at Palm Tree Lagoon and Boonmar farms. It was one of those days where the stars aligned and Randy just kept catching impressive fish. Arapaima was the first fish of the day and I thought it was going to be difficult to beat but the Mekong Catfish showed up to give Randy a bigger smile. An Asian Redtail Catfish and Tiger Shovelnose was landed before we ended the magical day with a Giant Siamese Carp. In Randy's words, it was unbelievable.

Doug from the United States flew over with his fly rod and we had a great time catching Arapaima, Asian Redtail Catfish, Alligator Gar and the Amazon Redtail Catfish.

Bambang from Indonesia also got into the fun at Palm Tree Lagoon and had an impressive haul of Giant Mekong Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Black Shark Minnow and the Amazon Redtail Catfish.

And finally, I got to get in a little bit of fishing on my own and of course I had to go to the reservoir.
